Live music is thankfully going through a bit of a resurgence at the moment and Stratford has some venues that are doing a great job of supporting local bands as well as booking some more established acts.

Below is a list of venues that regularly feature live music and whether you are into Rock, Blues or Jazz you should find something that will appeal.

Cox's Yard is probably Stratford's best known live music venue with a fantastic variety of bands, accoustic nights, top cover bands and even comedy nights to keep you coming back for more. Global Gathering - 25th & 26th July 2008
Long Marston Airfield, Stratford-Upon-Avon
Global Gathering is without doubt Stratford's largest music event last year this massive dance music event attracted over 75,000 people and is on target to grow that number even more this year.
Global gathering attracts the biggest names in dance and 2008 is no exception with artist such as Kanye West, Moby and Proteus already confirmed.

The Nags Head - Open Mic Night
Henley in Arden
Starts Thursday 6th November 2008. 8.30-11.00pm
Thursday 6th November 2008 will see the first night of a weekly acoustic Open Mic night to be held at the historic Nags Head in Henley in Arden. The pub has a great atmosphere, sells a selection of real ales and admission is free.

Hosted by Richard Heath (Gravelly Hillbillies /Bushburys / Mack and the Boys / True Grit / Partners in Crime etc.) the evening will start at 8.30pm until 11.00pm.

A vocal p.a. is provided and every performer will get a free drink.
